The Loom Mistress
At the delivery port1 Deliver the sealed crate to the hold's ward loom.
You deliver the crate to the hold's ward loom, where an aging loom mistress named Odalys Brenn breaks the seal. Inside lie two cut but uncharged keystones. "Blanks," she says. "Each blank must be awakened against an ancient keystone, and the only ancient stones my lord doesn't already use lie across the border beneath ruined Carrow Keep. Awaken both stones there, send one back to me, and you may keep the second for your own ship."
- Accept the job and take the two keystone blanks to Carrow Keep. She wraps both stones carefully in a heavy blanket and hands you the bundle. "Keep them cushioned—do not let them strike each other."
- [Warden] Ask how a keystone blank is awakened.Crew: Wardencrewmate studies her instructions for an hour, coming away with detailed notes on ward tuning and a faster route across the border to Carrow Keep.+1 Wards skill XPReveal 2 waypoints

- Take your delivery pay and leave. She pays your standard delivery fee with a small tip and turns back to her ward loom.+15 silverThe questline ends here.
The Blockade in the Valley Mouth
Right away2 Slip the keystone blanks past Lord Pell's blockading yacht.
A noble house yacht flying Lord Pell's colors blocks the valley mouth with its gun ports open. Her captain hails you by name. "My lord heard a sealed crate went up to Brenn's ward loom this morning, and he wants to know what came back down. Heave to and open your hold for inspection!"

- Betray Brenn instead and offer to sell her rival the truth about her missing ward stone. The captain lowers his spyglass. "Then you want Lord Pell's steward waiting on the dock at the next port, purse in hand." Before heading there, you send the keystone blanks back up to Brenn's loom with a dock runner.
Lord Pell's Steward
At a port3 Sell the secret of Brenn's missing keystone to Lord Pell's steward.
Lord Pell's gloved steward meets you on the dock, weighing a heavy coin purse while his lord's armed yacht loads crystal behind him. "So Brenn's ward loom is a keystone short," he says. "How long will her defenses stay down?"

Two Hungry Stones
Right away4On your first night out, the two dark keystones sit wrapped on your cabin table, icy to the touch and draining the warmth from the nearest lamp. Odalys Brenn warned you before you left: "The blanks are hungry for mana. Feed them a little power during the voyage, or waking them in the vault will take far longer."
- Leave them uncharged and stow them separately in the hold. You pack the blanks into separate straw-lined crates at opposite ends of the hold, and your cabin lamps burn brightly again.
- Feed the blanks overnight beside your Ward Loom. (2 crystal)Costs 2 crystalBy morning the loom has burned through two extra crystals, but the blanks are warm to the touch and ready to awaken at the first spark.

The Second Installment
Right away5 Decide whether to guide Lord Pell's yacht in its raid on Brenn's ward loom.
The steward holds up a second purse. "That first payment was for the tip. The second half waits aboard our yacht. You know the approach to Brenn's loom tower, and my captain doesn't. Fly ahead to guide our attack, or wait here on the dock for a smaller cut."
- Fly ahead of Pell's yacht and clear away Brenn's guard ship.Brenn's hold has only a single guard ship, and the keep's wards are down a layer—but her captain flies out to fight you anyway.Battle: Household ship
- Stay behind on the dock and wait for the yacht to return. You wait a day and a night at the steward's dockside table until the raiding party returns.
- Fly in ahead as if guiding the raid, then turn your guns on Pell's yacht at the tower. You lead Pell's yacht right under the loom tower, swing hard about, and open fire on her while her guns are still aimed at the keep.Battle: Household ship · Close range
The Long Week
Right away6 Escape Lord Pell's dock before his steward discovers you lied about the ward repairs.
A lie is easy to tell and hard to maintain. The steward insists you remain docked as his 'guest' until the week is up. On the fourth day, his clerk returns from the border road after calculating how long a courier actually needs to reach Carrow Keep—and Pell's yacht begins loading crystal in a hurry.
- Cut your mooring lines tonight and slip away in the dark.
- Stay at the dock and claim Odalys Brenn lied to you too.The steward accepts your excuse—or finds it convenient—but confiscates twenty silver of your payment before escorting you off the dock. Even so, the week you bought Brenn has already passed.−20 silver
- [Vulpine] Have crewmate steal the clerk's travel schedule over drinks.Crew: Vulpinecrewmate buys the clerk a round of drinks and slips the incriminating travel notes up one sleeve. Without proof, the yacht stands down for two more days, and you depart peacefully in broad daylight.
Carrow Keep

Spoils at Pell's Dock

A Letter from the Loom Mistress
Right away9A hired skiff catches up with you a day later, carrying one of Odalys Brenn's loom hands, a letter, and a long wrapped bundle. Her note is blunt: "I know you went to Pell, and I know you kept his yacht off my tower long enough for us to restore our wards. This settles both accounts."

Two Awakened Keystones
Right away10 Decide what to do with the two awakened keystones.
Pressed against the ancient vault stones, both blanks drink in power and blaze to life. When you return to the surface carrying the two awakened keystones, a Guild trade agent camped at the foot of the crag has already spotted their glow and approaches with an offer.
- Keep one keystone as agreed and ship the second back to Odalys Brenn via Guild post. The Guild agent seals Brenn's keystone for priority delivery, while your crew mounts the second stone into your Ward Loom, adding a powerful new layer to your ship's wards.Relic: Warden's Keystone+1 The Guild standingThe questline ends here.

- [Fed blanks] Keep your keystone, ship Brenn's home, and siphon the excess crystal power.Because you pre-charged the blanks on the voyage, they awakened instantly and left surplus energy brimming in the ancient sockets. You ship Brenn's stone home, mount yours in your loom, and harvest eight crystals' worth of pure charge. The questline ends here.
- Break your deal with Brenn and sell both awakened keystones to the Guild agent. The agent pays double the market price—one hundred and fifty silver—without asking a single question. Back across the border, Brenn's ward loom remains crippled.+150 silverThe questline ends here.
