Thirty Years on Gull Stack
At the delivery port1 Carry the retired wreck-watcher to her destination port.
Your passenger pauses at the foot of your boarding ramp. "For thirty years I manned the lookout station on Gull Stack and logged every ship that sailed this coast," she tells you. "Last month the Guild closed my station to save a single watchman's wage—and left my giant brass spyglass bolted to the window mount because it was too heavy to haul down. Now wreckers have occupied the stack, and I want my spyglass back."
- Invite her back aboard and fly out to Gull Stack to recover her spyglass. She marches straight back up your gangplank, bag in hand, before you even finish the sentence.
- Collect her 10-silver fare and wish her well. She pays her ten-silver passage to the last coin and stands on the pier staring out toward the sea stacks.+10 silverThe questline ends here.
Thirty Years of Logbooks
Right away2On the flight out, she unpacks her canvas bag across your chart table: one clean shirt and thirty leather-bound logbooks recording every ship, shoal, and storm on the coast for three decades. "The Guild didn't care to keep my records either," she says briskly. "Put me to work on the way to Gull Stack, captain—I don't sit idle."
- Have her transfer thirty years of coastal shoals and patrol routes onto your sky chart.Working with a ruler and pencil until midnight, she marks hidden reefs, wind eddies, and patrol anchorages across your chart.Reveal 3 waypoints
- Ask how many ships have wrecked on this coast since the Guild closed her station.Using a borrowed hand-glass from the cliffs, she has logged eleven shipwrecks in two winters. She writes out a formal petition with names and dates to present to the Pilots' Hall.

Gull Stack
Sail to Gull Stack (2–4 passages away)3 Fly the retired wreck-watcher out to Gull Stack to recover her great brass spyglass.
The stone watch-house perches atop Gull Stack like a hat. A wrecker corsair sloop is moored to the lower supply ring with laundry strung from the signal mast, while the great brass spyglass still gleams in the seaward window frame above.
- Attack the wrecker sloop and drive them off the stack. The wreckers scramble to cast off their mooring lines and open fire!Battle: Sky piratesIf you win:+15 silver
- [Avian] Send crewmate up to the window at dusk to unbolt the heavy spyglass unseen.Crew: Aviancrewmate lands silently on the high windowsill at dusk, unbolts the massive brass spyglass from its mount, and lowers it into your cargo sling while the wreckers are eating supper—though crewmate complains all evening about how heavy it was.
- [Marine] Send crewmate up the cliff ladder with the watcher to evict the lookouts.Crew: Marinecrewmate climbs the supply ladder, disarms the two young wrecker lookouts after a brief scuffle, and secures the watch-house while the sloop's main crew is ashore fetching water.10 damage to the crewmate who acted

- Leave it for now.You pull back from Gull Stack while the old watcher stares silently at her former post.
The Ransacked Watch-House
Right away4With the wrecker sloop driven off, you enter the stone watch-house. The wreckers chopped up her wooden bookshelves for firewood and stacked their plunder against the wall: coils of rope, a ship's chronometer, and a locked pay chest bearing the name of a wrecked Guild courier boat. Ignoring the loot, the old woman walks straight to her brass spyglass at the window.
- Keep the 30 silver inside the courier boat's pay chest for your ship. You pry open the chest and pocket thirty silver that the wreckers hadn't drunk away yet.+30 silver

The Great Glass
Right away5 Decide what to do with the great brass spyglass on Gull Stack.
The brass spyglass is as long as a man, with thirty annual tally marks scratched beside the eyepiece. She polishes the main lens with her sleeve. "I'm too old to keep watch out here alone without supplies, captain. You can mount this Starglass on your ship—or leave me here with two crates of provisions to reopen the station myself."
- Mount the great brass Starglass at your ship's Lookout rail.Braced onto your Lookout rail, the powerful Starglass brings distant horizons into sharp view, and she teaches your crew how to log sightings before retiring ashore.Relic: Star GlassThe questline ends here.

First Night on Watch
Right away6You stay moored to the stack's supply ring overnight. Near midnight, she calls you up to the great spyglass: two miles north, a Guild courier boat is steering straight toward the jagged reefs, lured by a false lantern on the cliffs! "Wreckers at work," she says grimly. "I can flash the danger signal from my tower lamp to warn the courier off—or you can sail out with your running lights doused and ambush the wreckers in the act!"
- Have her flash the danger signal to warn the Guild courier away from the reef. Her tower lamp flashes three long and one short—the classic danger code.
