Half a Feast Table
At the delivery port1 Deliver the clan cook and her cauldrons to the peace feast.
Your passenger—Marrow-Mother Hesk, an ursine cook with forearms like smoked hams—was hired to cook a peace feast uniting two rival clans. The great hall is swept and the roasting pits are lit, but only half of the ceremonial feast table stands in the room. "They sawed the table down the middle when the blood-feud began," Hesk growls. "Redbrush Hold kept the other half, and neither clan will sit down to make peace until the whole table is joined."
- Offer to fetch the other half.Hesk eyes your ship with relief. "You have three days to bring the other half back from Redbrush Hold before my stew spoils. Get moving!"
- [Galley] Lend your ship's own galley table so the feast can start tonight.Room: GalleyYour galley table is only half the size of the ceremonial one, forcing Hesk to seat the clan elders at the table while the younger warriors eat on the floor. It makes for a rocky truce, though both clans pay you thirty-five silver for lending the table.+35 silver

Redbrush Hold
Sail to Redbrush Hold (1–3 passages away)2 Recover the other half of the ceremonial feast table from Redbrush Hold.
Redbrush Hold is a tidy, double-locked vulpine stronghold. Their half of the ancient oak feast table sits in the courtyard under a canvas tarp. Hold-Keeper Tamsin Redbrush greets you with a sharp-toothed smile. "To us, that half-table is just seasoned firewood—and good firewood costs forty silver."
- Pay her 40-silver price for the table half.Costs 40 silverShe counts the silver twice and orders four of her kin to carry the heavy oak half-table out to your cargo winch.
- [Vulpine] Have crewmate negotiate a deal.Crew: Vulpinecrewmate bargains for an hour and closes the deal without spending a coin—promising Tamsin two seats of honor for Redbrush by the hearth fire, which is what she secretly wanted all along.+1 The Clans standing

- Tell Tamsin that Redbrush's young warriors had to eat on the floor while Ursine elders sat at your galley table.Tamsin's smile vanishes at the thought of Redbrush youths eating on the stones below Ursine elders. She yanks the tarp off the table half at once. "Take it! And make sure my kin sit at the head of the hearth!"+1 The Clans standing
- Offer to use your ship's winch to haul Redbrush Hold's winter supplies up from the dock in exchange for the table. It takes your crew a full day and a hundred heavy winch lifts, bruising one sailor in the process—but Tamsin hands over the table half along with two crates of dried mountain apples.+2 provisions10 damage to a random crewmate
A Half-Hearted Truce
Right away3The makeshift feast ends after a single tense night. While the elders shook hands across your borrowed galley table, the young warriors forced to eat on the floor exchanged dark glares. Scouring her pots, Hesk shakes her head. "Half a table makes half a peace. They'll be drawing blades again by spring thaw unless you fetch the other half of the true table from Redbrush Hold right now."
- Fly to Redbrush Hold now to fetch the missing table half and hold a proper second feast.Hesk sets down her scrubbing brush. "You have three days—I can keep both clans in this valley that long if I keep stuffing them with roast meat."
- Leave the clans to their shaky truce and ask Hesk what she plans to do next. She sets down her cauldron. "Stay here and cook for a half-baked truce until it turns into a brawl? Not likely. Better kitchens than this have asked for me."
The Reunited Table
Right away4 Return the missing half of the feast table to Marrow-Mother Hesk.
Pinned back together with stout oak dowels, the reunited feast table seats both clans for a boisterous two-day celebration without a single blade drawn. On the third morning, Hesk meets you on the dock. "The two clans are felling a fresh oak to carve a brand-new table together, so neither side can claim the old one. That means the mended table needs a new home—and so do I, for that matter."
- Take the mended oak feast table for your ship's mess hall. The massive oak table squeezes through your cargo hatch with an inch to spare, expanding your crew capacity by two hands.Relic: Captain's Long TableThe questline ends here.

- [Galley] Take both Marrow-Mother Hesk and her mended feast table aboard!Room: GalleySeeing you have a proper ship's Galley, Hesk refuses to be parted from her table: both the veteran cook and the expanded mess table come aboard to a grand evening feast.Relic: Captain's Long TableNew crewmate: Hesk Marrowmother, Ursine, QuartermasterThe questline ends here.
Hesk Packs Her Cleavers
Right away5By morning the hall is empty as both clans march home through separate mountain passes. Hesk has her cleavers rolled in oilcloth and her pots stacked by the door, leaving the elders' coin purse untouched on the half-table. "That silver is for the ship that lent a table," she tells you. "I take my pay in hungry mouths to feed—and your crew looks half-starved."
- Recruit Marrow-Mother Hesk as your ship's cook and quartermaster.Leaving the elders' silver behind so no one can say she was bought, Hesk hangs her cleavers in your galley, tosses out your stale hardtack, and stocks three crates of fresh provisions.New crewmate: Hesk Marrowmother, Ursine, Quartermaster+3 provisionsThe questline ends here.
- Take the 60-silver purse from the table and wish Hesk well ashore. She nods, shoulders her nested pots, and heads down to the dock to catch an outbound ship, leaving you sixty silver and the thanks of the elders.+60 silver+1 The Clans standingThe questline ends here.
